The health crisis that we are going through has seen the emergence of new trends and initiated profound changes in the lives of French people, the most striking of which remains the development of teleworking.
72% of French people told Opinionway that teleworking offers a better work-life balance, provided they can work away from home and change the work environment as they wish. Beyond the comfort provided by this teleworking environment, the main issue is productivity: 1 in 2 French people believe that they would be much more efficient and productive in a more pleasant environment, away from their home. For the players in the sector, could this trend allow the development of teleworking “tourism”?
“Telecommuting from their vacation spot is the aspiration of a rather young target, and undoubtedly foreshadows the working world of tomorrow. Employees in more easily mobile jobs are on the lookout for new, more inspiring, less stressful ways of working and naturally preempt this way of working elsewhere, ”said sociologist Ronan Chastellier. In fact, still according to Opinionway, 1/3 of executives plan to telecommute from a place usually reserved for vacations and weekends. And this trend is even more marked among 18/34 year olds with 31% of respondents saying they are in favor.
