Without reopening before the end of the year celebrations, nearly 87% of independent traders fear for the survival of their activity, according to the UCM which conducted a survey of more than 1,000 traders in Wallonia.
In the event of closure until 2021, only 17% of traders think they can hold out. They were 50% to remain optimistic, in the survey carried out by the UMC in late August.
